Changes.

Some people expect me to be the same way I was when I had not lived all the experiences I have faced up to now, as if it was possible to repeat the same words, make the same reflections, having always the same points of view... as if I were a fish in a fishtank, going from one side to another without memory and repeating always the same movements.
The world has changed. I have changed. You have changed as well.
A lot was done and undone up to now and facing that, how could things remain the same?
What about all the places I have gone through?
What about all the books I have read, all the things I have written?
It would be a waste of time being the same I was some time ago and if I were still thinking, writing and acting the same way - what would be the advantage of my existence, then?
Think if you have been repeating the same attitudes and waiting for different results.
Before all the changes in the world, it is perfectly natural that I have changed as well. In some aspects for better, in others not that much. Expecting for people to remain the same they were as we met them is simply stupidity. People who are like that are monotous and extremely boring.
I will change as things differentiate my perception and from that I will make my way through this place, to this earth that is now our temporary home.
Freezing in space and time is not interesting to me. I just will not change in vain, and simply to please others.
Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome to!

would u lıke to learn turkish ?

Yes, definitely! I have a true love for Turkey - beautiful culture and history, great people! Some of my best friends are from there - they are certainly some of the best people I've ever met, and I would love to be surrounded by such fascinating people and culture!

Got questions? Ask! :D

hi how did you get through the holidays. you got a new years resolution?

They were great... tough and challenging, but great! Yes, I've got some resolutions and I'm working on them... there's a lot happening and I'm excited and expectant on the things to come! Great things lay ahead for me!

Got questions? Ask! :D

Have you accepted Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior?

Faith is a personal walk... yes, I did.

Got questions? Ask! :D

Would you rather be a famous musician or a famous actor?

Can I say both? I love interpreting, which requires some acting. I've worked as a production assistant and got to see music from different angles... I would say both of them are fascinating in different ways!

Got questions? Ask! :D

Whitney Houston's passing.

We were all taken today by news that we prayed that would never become true: Ms. Houston, incredibly talented, is silenced.
I'm deeply sad of watching the unveiling of the details of Whitney Houston on CNN and other medias today. The world is still in shock. She was certainly one of my favorites - along with Dion and Carey, and watching her leaving after gracing the world with her voice, and still too soon, is devastating. I think that all of us cheered and praying on the inside for her health and for the beautiful comeback she deserved. The healing we all waited for somehow came - her amazing spirit is now released... she has found peace in the arms of the Lord she loved and served.
I'm posting here the video for her last single released in 2009. Amazingly, she sings straight to God. Her voice has changed, and a soul exhausted can be seen... longing to be with her Savior.
My prayers and heart are with her family and friends, specially with her daughter Bobbi. May she find peace and structure to never succumb to the addiction that torn her parents apart, and that took her beloved mom.

I guess we have skipped Winter and gone straight to the Spring here in North Carolina! :) This Sunday the weather was so pleasant that my friend Pat decided to take me for some sightseeing and some walking along with her dogs through Robbins and the neighboring tows... it was fantastic! One of the things that takes my breath away here in North Carolina is the sky... so blue, so clear, and so beautiful at night! As most of the cities around here survive from agriculture and raising animals, it's all woods, pasture... green. As a nature lover, it's paradise for me! Pat also took me to see the geographical center of the state - a town called Start - and after that, to an art field, with pieces made out of old machinery - where we were chased by 4 huge dogs that insisted on getting in front of her car... terrifying! All in all, it felt wonderful driving with no destination... the hours here feel more and more like "goodbye". I have peace, though.
I can sense that my time here in the United States is coming to an end. I can feel God doing something greater than I could ever explain in my life... so I'm trying to enjoy what's left of time for me here to the fullest!
May better, brighter days come!

People of Walmart.

Lovely people,

Since I've posted about Walmart and a little bit about shopping here in America, time has come for me to share with you my latest - and addictive discovery: the website 'People of Walmart'. Nowhere in America you're going to see so much diversity and freedom in expressing themselves... while they are shopping.

To keep up with the website, I'll also post a video my dear friend Pat Wallace has shared with me, with the song for the absolutely hilarious pictures while people were shopping for their groceries - while exhibiting all their 'style' - in Walmart stores throughout the country.
To end this, I can say is... ENJOY! :)

China or Brazil?

Hello, everybody! Happy New Year!

I want to start this year sharing an article that has shocked me by the similarities of what we've been facing in Brazil for several years... be it due to corruption, lack of education, a system that privileges the wealth - it's our reality!
Let's increase in knowledge and be more active in making the world in which we live better. I've been made more aware these past years that knowledge brings responsibility. Our education is not for ourselves, but for serving others and improving the society we live in!
Read this, think, reflect on what you can do to change this situation...

Much love and blessings,
                                     Helen :)
